Coming from a very outdoors orientated family, all family holidays and free time were spent in the outdoors exploring all parts of Ireland. This gave Dee a huge love for the outdoor life. Her family has a strong affinity with climbing, hiking and skiing and therefore it was only a matter of time before the pull of working in the mountains became too much.

Dee has a huge amount of experience leading groups in a mountain environment. She is a fully qualified ski instructor and spends winter seasons working in Chamonix, France leading ski touring groups and teaching skiing. She also delivers ski instructor training and assessment courses.

To add to her winter qualifications, Dee is currently working towards her Summer Mountain Leader Award. During her free time in winter she loves to get out into the back country ski touring in search of adventure, while in the summer time she swaps her skis for hiking boots and trail runners!

A few questions for Dee...

Running out of treats!

What would be find in your rucksack that we really shouldn't?

Too many treats, especially packs of Haribo Starmix...
