From instructor Claire Youdale:
The weather in the UK is very fickle, blazing sunshine last week and rain and gales this week! Despite the awfully wet and windy weather, the Bronze training and practice team did brilliantly. Two days of training including putting up tents, learning the ins and outs of Trangias, lots of team building and all-important navigation skills culminated in a very successful, if very damp, practice expedition. Despite the weather, even those who had never slept in a tent before set off on the second day of their expedition in good spirits and continued to the end with very successful navigation. Let's hope the sun comes out for their qualifying expedition in July!
